Router position and settings make a noticeable difference. Moving it or changing a few settings may solve the problem without extra equipment.
Mesh Wi-Fi can suit larger or multi-storey homes, but it is not the first answer to every Wi-Fi problem.
A wired access point, fed by Ethernet backhaul, delivers fast, stable coverage where a single router can’t reach.
We can configure compatible access points so your phone or laptop moves between them without needing a manual reconnect.
Range extenders are inexpensive, but they can add latency and reduce performance. We only suggest one when it suits the layout. A wired access point or mesh system may work better.
The answer may be a settings change, a better router position, mesh Wi-Fi or a wired access point. We’ll explain why before recommending that you buy anything.
